Some reports from users.
11.1v 1250mAH Chaku carnks PDI190 at 12-13RPS(720-780 RPM)
7.4v 2200mAh(not the 2200) cranks ICS M4 M150spring at 750 RPM(15 RPS)
11.1v 2150mAh 900-1200RPM on various M150 setups.
Jing Gong Systema using BHe 2150mAh cranks M170 spring + Infinite with acceptable ROF.
9.6v Chaku NiMH very good upto 450FPS
9.6v NiMH Sub-C cranks M170 + Infinite + China High Torque Motor = 600+ FPs and ROF of 800+ RPM (13+ RPS)
The above results are in general consensus with our objective. We view that 900-1200RPM (rounds per minute), or thereabout, is more than adequate for most AEGs without excessive wear and tear to the mechbox, gears and piston teeth as well as strain on the motor. In fact, some buyers puposedly shy away from our Li-Polies when tested at around 900RPM (15RPS), finding the ROF still excessive as can also be gleaned from the lower ROF figures cited where players are reportedly satisfied with.
Some, after actual testing purchased 9.6v NiMH batteries that clocked only 550RPM (9RPS). Others chose the BHe 7.4v LiPoly with a higher ROF of 600-900RPM(10-15RPS). But most are satisfied (and cautious) with the 900-1200RPM (15-20RPS) offered by the BHE 11.1v LiPolies. Most set-ups of buyers we are referring to here are stock aegs with around 400FPS out of the box and those with M120-M140 setups.
Most gunsmiths we coordinated with, using M130 to M170 spring setups, prefer a ROF of 600-900RPM or 10-15RPS. While other gunsmiths may have different views, we feel that we share the same objectives with the people we work and consult with - best setups without excessive wear and tear.
We therefore continue to believe that the current 13C continous C(minimum) or 18-19 Rated C(average) or 26 Burst C(Maximum) is more than sufficient for airsoft needs.
But for those who want higher ROF at 25-32RPS, the following brands are recommended. Both are r/c airplane/helicopter batteries which have higher sustained C and mAh than labelled as their specs are for warranty purposes at the end of 2 years and their batteries built for continous and sustained energy as demanded by r/c airplanes and helicopters with power management mechanisms (not to mention reved up to win competitions).
The batteries, as recommended, should give an ROF of 30-35RPS.
